How to Make a Headband Twist

A step-by-step guide to making the deceptively simple but very chic twist at the centre of the ‘About Town’ headband.   

Step 1: Lay the piece of knitting on a flat surface, right side up. 

Step 2: Fold the piece of knitting in half lengthways (right sides together) and bring the ends together. Twist one end by 180 degrees and slot the ‘v’ at one end of the headband into the ‘v’ at the other end of the headband, creating four layers of fabric. 

Step 5: Sew the four layers together making sure to catch each layer and sew in ends. Then turn right side out.  

And voilà! A nifty, simple knotted twist to add a sophisticated and chic touch to a headband.
